Excited to Start Something

Time slipped by fast since prior post, but that's not going to happen again.  I am excited to have discovered another video host and streaming service.

I was watching a couple of H3H3 videos on YouTube, and I can't believe how long ago, two years!  I only know this because that's when I signed up for my "new" account on Twitch.  They didn't continue there and so neither did I go back there for a long time until... about a week ago.  So little sleep for the past week.

I seems like Twitch cares about supporting small channels and users since they have multiple levels of channel support and that also means that even the smallest, newest channel can have something, rather than NOTHING, which is what YouTube has for entry level channels.

Sadly, there was a prime time entry for starting up on YouTube, but that window has closed a very long time ago.  You would have had to start a channel there between 5 and 10 years ago and put in years to grow it.  The new channel would have had to have grown a lot and there are still some of those channels still around today, but even many of them are not what they used to be.  You may know them, I may list them on another post when I get into those details, but discovering Twitch has been very encouraging.  I may be able to get into it soon.

I think I can see some light at the end of the tunnel of video hosting and much more interestingly, live streaming.  I have more to say about this, but it seems the window is currently open on Twitch, because of their lack of a barrier of entry, where on the other hand, YouTube has an extremely high barrier of entry to any level of monetizing.

I plan to post a lot sooner now.  I have a lot to say.  See ya sooner! - J
